The

That is why EDCC staff is of the highest caliber, who strive to make every
service we offer you the best that it can be. Your
child's time before and after school should be filled with quality
activities and supervised by excellent teachers.
Dr.
Cheryl McElhany founded
EDCC in 1986. Today, she serves as President of the
Board. Dr. McElhany has been a classroom teacher, elementary
principal, Director of Curriculum, college instructor,
Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent in the Moraga
School District. The EDCC design of
service and standards were developed by Dr. McElhany and are directed by the EDCC
Board and Executive Director.
Mrs. Beverly Bell
serves EDCC as the Executive Director. Beverly is a credentialed
teacher with over twenty years of experience as an educator. The first part of her
career was as a teacher of special needs children in various states and in Europe.
Since moving to California, Beverly's childcare experiences have been as Site Director for EDCC at the Nielsen
and Walnut Grove Centers.
WALNUT GROVE ELEMENTARY CENTER
Mrs. Noreen Casabar
is the Site Director at Walnut Grove Elementary School.
She has a BA degree from Cal Poly State University in Child Development
and has numerous years of experience in the childcare field. She recently transferred
from the Fallon Center where she also served as Site Director.
MURRAY ELEMENTARY
CENTER
Ms. Katie Posey
is the site director at the
Murray Center.
She has Bachelors Degree and Teaching Credential from CSU East
Bay in Child Development. Her experience includes child
care as well as teaching in a second grade classroom. She
is very excited about fulfilling her life long dream of teaching
children.
FREDERIKSEN ELEMENTARY
CENTER
Mrs.
Doris Dannels is the
Site Director. She is an experienced teacher from the state of
Washington with significant experience directing school-age child care
programs there as well as in nearby Concord.
DUBLIN
ELEMENTARY CENTER
Mrs. Carrie Reichhold
is the director at
Dublin Elementary. She holds a Bachelor
Degree in Elementary Education from North Central College
in Illinois. For the past six years she has
been working in after school programs. She is new to
the Dublin area and is excited to be working
with children again.
DOUGHERTY ELEMENTARY
CENTER
Mrs. Colleen Wilson
is the Site Director at
Dougherty Elementary. Colleen is an experienced teacher and
director with over twenty years working with children and
families in the Bay Area. She has her B.A. in Education
from CSU. Previously she was the director at Dublin
Elementary.
FALLON ELEMENTARY
CENTER
Ms. Regina Valencia
is the Site Director at the Fallon Center. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Child
and Adolescent Development from San Jose State University. Regina started working with
children at the beginning of her college experience and realized her love of the childcare
field thus pursued her goal of a Child Development Degree. Regina started with EDCC as
a teacher at the Walnut Grove site before transferring to Fallon as a teacher and then director.
GREEN ELEMENTARY CENTER
Mrs.
Carole Liu
is the Site Director
at John Green Elementary School. She graduated with a B.S.
degree in Math Education and earned her Masters degree in_small.jpg)
Education from University of Missouri, St. Louis. She had
the opportunity to teach a variety of groups ranging from
school-age children to adults in the public and private schools
in Missouri. After several years of teaching in Missouri,
Mrs. Liu moved to the bay area with her family. She is
very excited to work with school-age children again and very
pleased to be part of the EDCC family.
